Tottenham legend Ledley King has shared his reaction to the club’s late transfer move that saw Dele Alli make a permanent move to Everton last night.

Taking to Twitter, the former Spurs captain posted a nine-word message over the England international, who has now left Tottenham after much speculation over his future with the club.

Alli has struggle for form this season and has seen his once-promising career take a nosedive since the departure of Mauricio Pochettino, with both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte failing to get the best out of the midfielder.

And now, after much speculation, Alli has now left Tottenham for good, with the former MK Dons star making the move up north to sign for Everton as one of Frank Lampard’s first signings for the club.

Indeed, the transfer was one that came out of nowhere despite links to Everton for some time. It was believed that Alli would join Newcastle United or remain in north London with Tottenham for the remainder of the season.

However, a late offer from Everton was accepted by Spurs, with Alli signing a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Merseyside club, who could revive the midfielder’s career after years of stagnation.

And one figure who is eager for Alli to improve is King, who posted on his official Twitter account: “Good luck in the next chapter of your career.”

Alli’s time at Tottenham has finally come to an end, and for supporters, they should be hoping that the midfielder regains his form at Everton that made him one of the most exciting players in the Premier League.

After all, the England international made his name at Tottenham and was one of the clubs best players during their most successful period in the 21st Century. And for Everton, Alli could find that spark that made him one of England’s most lethal players.
