Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Fulham attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho is attracted by the prospect of joining Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the January transfer window.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Liverpool are in concrete talks with Fulham over signing the 19-year-old attacking midfielder before the window closes on Monday night.

Romano has added that Carvalho, who can also play as a winger, is “attracted by this chance” of joining Liverpool.

Earlier today, Sky Sports reported that Liverpool have made a bid of £5 million for the teenager, who is out of contract at Fulham at the end of the season.

Could Liverpool sign Fabio Carvalho?

In our view, if Carvalho wants to join Liverpool in the January transfer window, then a transfer could well happen now.

Yes, £5 million is not a lot of money for Fulham, especially when you consider that they are well positioned to win automatic promotion to the Premier League and will want to keep their best players.

However, if the attacking midfielder wants to leave Fulham for Liverpool now, then a transfer could well happen.

Carvalho has made 15 starts and three substitute appearances in the Championship for Fulham so far this season.

The attacker has scored seven goals and provided four assists in those games.
