Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are interested in signing Jonathan David, but they are facing competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, according to ESPN.
ESPN have reported that Arsenal are now considering a move for Lille striker David.
Arsenal have missed out on Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic to Juventus and are now looking at David as a possible alternative.
Manager Arteta wants to bring in a new striker to the Emirates Stadium, but he is running out of time.
After all, the January transfer window will close on Monday night.
ESPN have claimed that Tottenham and Chelsea are also keen on the 22-year-old and has expressed an interest in signing the striker who has scored 12 goals in 18 Ligue 1 starts for Lille so far this season.
David has scored three goals in six Champions League games for Lille as well this season.
Lille want to wait until the end of the season before selling David, according to ESPN.

Could Arsenal get Jonathan David now?
In our view, it is unlikely that Arsenal will be able to sign David from Lille in the final days of the January transfer window.
Now, of course, we know that money talks.
But, if Lille are to sell the Canada international now, then they will have to find a suitable replacement.
There is simply not enough time for that.
