According to The Athletic, West Ham remain interested in Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall with deadline day on the horizon.
What’s the story?
Well, the Premier League outfit could be about to raid the Championship once again, with West Ham eyeing the 25-year-old.
Worrall – who Nottingham Forest value at £10m – has shone this season, and remains on the radar of David Moyes.
You can understand why the Hammers continue to monitor England’s second tier, following the success of Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell in east London.
Nottingham Forest believe they can finish in the Play-Off positions this season, so they are reluctant to sell Worrall.
However, The Athletic only describe it as a decision they will not take lightly, instead of one they have completely ruled out.
Therefore, an exit from the City Ground for Worrall is definitely not out of the equation before Monday’s deadline.
Joe Worrall would be a great signing by West Ham

The centre-back department at the London Stadium isn’t the most well-stocked position for West Ham, so another option is needed.
Angelo Ogbonna is out for the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury, which leave Kurt Zouma, Craig Dawson and Issa Diop as the only options.
Zouma, in particular, tends to pick up injuries, which makes the need for another centre-back all the more pressing.
In our view, Worrall would be a fine addition.

The man who Steven Gerrard called “outstanding” during their time together at Rangers has developed superbly in the Championship.
As WhoScored shows, Worrall makes 3.7 clearances per game, as well as two tackles and two interceptions.
The Englishman is also comfortable in possession – he makes 56.3 passes every 90 minutes in the Championship.
Keep an eye on this situation, as there could be some developments before Monday’s deadline.
