Inter Milan are closing in on a deal to sign Robin Gosens from Atalanta and will hold further talks with Le Dea over a transfer for the reported Newcastle United target on Wednesday.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWEB, who note the Nerazzurri are just €3m (£2.5m) away from securing the German’s arrival. Negotiations between the San Siro and Gewiss Stadium hierarchies are gaining pace after reaching an agreement over the structure of the move.
Inter Milan will sign Gosens on loan for the rest of the season with an obligation to buy the winger. His purchase will be dependent on the Nerazzurri and Gosens achieving set criteria over the final months of the campaign. But the fee and his contract are still to be decided.

So, Inter Milan plan to hold further talks with Atalanta on Wednesday to try to close the gap in valuations. The San Siro side will then meet Gosens and his agent to discuss personal terms once the fee is agreed. TMW had previously noted La Dea want €30m (£25m) to sell.
But the Nerazzurri opened talks offering an initial €22m (£18.5m) purchase clause plus add-ons. Yet the bonus clauses would only cover half the €8m (£6.5m) gap to Atalanta’s price.
Inter Milan to deal Newcastle blow with Gosens transfer from Atalanta
Inter Milan closing in on Gosens’ arrival will deal a blow to Newcastle’s transfer plans, amid their interest in the Atalanta ace. Fabrizio Romano noted this week the Toon remain keen on the German international after La Dea snubbed their opening offer.

Gosens would give Toon boss Eddie Howe a versatile, left-sided option if United usurp the Nerazzurri at the last moment. The 27-year-old is capable of playing at full-back and on the wing to a high level. He has offered two goals and one assist in eight games so far this term.
A muscle injury sustained in September has disrupted the 13-cap dynamo’s campaign. He also recorded 12 goals and eight assists in 44 games last season to show what he can offer. But Newcastle face an imminent deadline to try and beat Inter Milan to Gosen’s transfer.
