Tottenham Hotspur managing director of football Fabio Paratici is determined to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore in the January transfer window, according to Football.London.
Football.London have reported that Paratici has been tracking Wolves winger Traore for two years.
The Italian official wanted to sign the 25-year-old former Barcelona winger who he was at Juventus and actually made a big offer.
Paratici is driving Tottenham’s interest in Traore, and head coach Antonio Conte is open to working with the winger, who will cost £20 million.
The report in Football.London states: “Paratici believes that not only can the powerful speedster provide another attacking threat but he can also be converted into a wing-back by Conte, who is open to the idea of the £20m wide man’s arrival.”
Adama Traore a long-term signing for Tottenham Hotspur
In our view, Paratici himself being interested in Traore shows that the former Barcelona winger will be a long-term signing for Tottenham.
The former Aston Villa man will not be signed just for the short term.

We know that Traore – described as “an exciting player” who is “so dangerous” by former Chelsea star Joe Cole on Stadium Astro on Sunday – is at his best as a winger.
But if the Spain international is able to play as a right wing-back, then it is only going to be good for Conte and Tottenham.
Traore has made 10 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Wolves so far this season.
The winger has scored one goal in those games.
