Tottenham Hotspur have made a bid for former Arsenal youth product Ollie Tanner, according to The Athletic.

The Athletic have reported that Tottenham submitted an offer to Lewes on Saturday to sign the 19-year-old left-winger.

Non-League club Lewes will reportedly accept the bid for Tanner from Premier League outfit Tottenham.

Isthmian League Premier Division outfit have already turned down a nominal bid from Brighton and Hove Albion for Tanner.

The young winger had spells in the academies of Arsenal and Charlton Athletic as a schoolboy and is now starring in non-League football.

The Athletic have reported that Tanner has been training with Tottenham for the past fortnight.

Ollie Tanner at Tottenham Hotspur?

In our view, Tanner would be a good long-term signing for Tottenham.

Yes, the left-winger got released by Arsenal, but it happens with a lot of young players.

The winger is doing well at Lewes at the moment, and the chance to move to Tottenham would appeal to him.

Now, of course, we should not expect the 19-year-old to go straight into the Tottenham first team.

It is very likely that Tanner will be part of the Tottenham youth team initially and will then hope to progress to the senior side.
