According to The Athletic, Tottenham are interested in signing Lewes forward Ollie Tanner, who used to play for Arsenal at youth level.
What’s the story?
Well, Tanner could become the next Jamie Vardy, as Spurs scour Non-League football for the next rough diamond.
The 19-year-old has caught Tottenham’s eye after scoring 12 goals this season, but the north Londoners aren’t the only Premier League side interested.
According to The Sun, Watford, Southampton and Norwich are also monitoring the teenager – Championship sides are keen as well.
However, The Athletic believe Brighton have submitted an offer to Lewes for Tanner, with any deal involving Tanner being loaned back to the Isthmian League Premier Division side for the rest of the season.
Tanner signed a two-year contract with Lewes in November.
Tottenham could embarrass Arsenal again

You may remember when Arsenal released a young forward from their Hale End Academy named Harry Kane, who later joined Tottenham.
What ever happened to him?
All jokes aside, lighting looks like it could strike twice.
If Tanner joins Tottenham and becomes a superstar, the Arsenal supporters will never hear the end of it from their noisy neighbours.

In truth, they still go on about pinching Kane even to this day, and why shouldn’t they? It was arguably one of the biggest errors of judgement Arsenal will ever make.
The fact that other Premier League sides are interested in Tanner suggests he definitely has something special about him.
Of course, it would be an incredible story if he went on to hit the heights of Kane, although you can never say never in football.
