Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United think that handing Raphinha a new contract worth £100,000-a-week will stop him from joining Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool or Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea, according to The Daily Star.

The Daily Star have reported that Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in signing Raphinha from Premier League rivals Leeds in the summer of 2022.

The winger is earning £55,000 per week as salary at the moment.

Leeds have opened talks with the 25-year-old over a new contract, and hope that a deal worth £100,000 per week will be enough to stop him from leaving for Liverpool or Chelsea, according to the report.

Could Raphinha leave Leeds for Liverpool?

In our view, Raphinha could leave Leeds and move to Liverpool or Chelsea in the summer of 2022.

Now, of course, we know that Leeds are a massive club and are likely to retain their Premier League status for next season.

However, Liverpool and Chelsea regularly challenge for the Premier League title and compete in the Champions League.

Liverpool especially are a fun team to play for if you are an attacking player who scores goals, creates chances and works hard.

And that is what Raphinha does.

The Brazil international winger has scored 14 goals and created 18 big chances in 48 Premier League appearances for Leeds.
