Arsenal have reportedly lodged a new bid for ACF Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic, with the Gunners increasing their offer to €60m (£50m) plus midfielder Lucas Torreira.
According to Corriere della Sera, the Tuscan-based club turned down a similar offer with a transfer fee of €55m (£45m). However, this new package is ‘enticing’ for Fiorentina, who are open to selling Vlahovic for the right price.
The Serbian attacker has been on Arsenal’s radar for some time, and this January appears to be the period where the Gunners are launching everything they can to sign Vlahovic for the second half of the season.
With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Eddie Nketiah likely to leave for good this window, a new striker is needed in north London. And Vlahovic looks to be Mikel Arteta’s preferred choice for the role.
The attacker broke numerous goal-scoring records for Fiorentina last season, and just 21-years-old, Vlahovic is on-par with the likes of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe as the best and most exciting young attackers in world football.
Indeed, it will take some convincing to sign Vlahovic. However, this latest offer from Arsenal could well be the final bid from the north London side to sign the Balkan attacker this January.
£60m Vlahovic deal could be defining transfer for Arsenal

Vlahovic is one of the most sought-after players in world football. And for Arsenal, landing the attacker over the likes of their north London rivals Tottenham and Juventus could be a defining deal for the club.
After all, a striker is needed for Arteta’s side, and signing one of the best in the world and one of the youngest for just £60m could be one of the best pieces of business the club pull off in some time.
