Micky Hazard has taken to Twitter to urge the Premier League to make sure that the North London derby between Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal goes ahead this weekend.
Tottenham and Arsenal are due to play each other at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
With both Tottenham and Arsenal in the race for the top four, the North London derby promises to be a hugely exciting and entertaining game of football.
However, there is a chance that the match could be postponed.
Arsenal have announced on their official website that they have applied for the North London derby against Tottenham to be postponed.
“We have reluctantly taken this step but we have many players currently unavailable across our squad as a result of Covid, injuries and players away with their countries at AFCON,” reads the statement.

Former Tottenham star Hazard believes that the match should not be postponed as Arsenal are not affected badly by COVID-19.
Attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard is the only known Arsenal player who is affected by coronavirus at the moment.
Tottenham v Arsenal should go ahead
In our view, the North London derby between Tottenham and Arsenal should go ahead as planned.
If Arsenal have just one case of coronavirus in their squad, then that is no cause for a postponement.
Yes, the Gunners have a few players away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.
And yes, Granit Xhaka is suspended for the match against Tottenham.
But those are ‘footballing reasons’, not COVID-related.
