Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have made a bid for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to La Repubblica.
The report in the Italian publication has claimed that Arsenal have offered Fiorentina €70 million (£58.42 million) for Vlahovic.
Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso is now reportedly ready to let the striker leave and is likely to accept the bid from Arsenal.
The report, as further relayed by TEAMtalk, has claimed that Arsenal hope to spread the cost over the five-and-a-half-year deal they want to give the striker.
Could Dusan Vlahovic join Arsenal now?
La Repubblica‘s report suggests that Arsenal could be on the verge of signing Vlahovic from Fiorentina.
After all, if the Italian club are willing to sign the Serbia international striker, then Arsenal do have reason to be optimistic about the transfer deal going through.

However, we must not get ahead of ourselves.
We have to consider what Vlahovic – whose “left foot is like a wand”, according to former Manchester City and Fiorentina defender Micah Richards BBC Radio 5 Live in December 2021 – wants to do.
The striker is on the radar of a number of clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus.
Arsenal may not necessarily be the 21-year-old’s first choice club to move.
Vlahovic has scored 16 goals and provided two assists in Serie A so far this season, and scored 21 goals and gave three assists in the league in 2020-21.
