
Rangers midfielder John Lundstram only joined the club in the summer, but could already be on the move with Middlesbrough keen on signing him.
That’s according to the Daily Record, who claim that Middlesbrough are now eyeing a deal to bring Lundstram back to England.
Boro boss Chris Wilder got the best out of Lundstram at Sheffield United and now fancies reuniting with him at the Riverside Stadium.
Lundstram signed for Rangers over the summer as he wanted to play for Steven Gerrard.
The Liverpudlian had great admiration for Gerrard, admitting that playing for the Liverpool legend was a ‘huge draw’.
Yet just months into Lundstram’s time at Rangers, Gerrard chose to leave the club in favour of joining Aston Villa.
Lundstram has praised the impact of new boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst, but his future at Rangers now looks unclear.
Rangers have just signed another holding midfielder in James Sands, meaning Lundstram would be expendable.

With just two starts under Van Bronckhorst, you can see why a move away from Rangers may actually make sense for Lundstram.
This isn’t how Lundstram saw this move turning out, but Gerrard’s exit threw a spanner in the works.
Rangers at least didn’t pay a transfer fee for Lundstram, and they will surely listen to offers from Chris Wilder and co this month.
