Tottenham Hotspur have tried to include Tanguy Ndombele in a deal for AC Milan defensive midfielder Franck Kessie, according to The Times.
Tanguy Ndombele – Franck Kessie swap
The Times have reported that Tottenham want to sign Kessie from Milan in the January transfer window.
The report has claimed that when the January transfer window opened, Tottenham offered Ndombele to Milan on loan for the rest of the season in a proposed deal to sign Kessie.
Milan rejected the offer.
Could Tanguy Ndombele leave Tottenham?
Kessie, 25, is out of contract at Milan at the end of the season.
The Ivory Coast international defensive midfielder is unlikely to sign a new deal and is likely to leave Milan on a free in the summer of 2022.
Even then Milan are not willing to part company with the former Atalanta defensive midfielder in exchange for Ndombele.

The Athletic reported over the weekend that Tottenham are willing to offload the midfielder, who himself wants to leave in January.
In our view, it is only a matter of time before Ndombele leaves Tottenham.
The problem with a January exit is that no club will be willing to pay the £55 million transfer fee that Tottenham paid to Lyon for the 25-year-old.
Moreover, Ndombele earns £200,000 per week as salary, and not many clubs would be prepared to pay that much to a player who has been struggling at Tottenham.
