Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele wants to leave in the January transfer window, according to The Athletic.

The report has claimed that Ndombele wanted to leave Tottenham in the summer of 2021 and is hopeful of an exit from the Premier League club this month.

Senior figure at Tottenham are reportedly ‘disappointed with Ndombele’s actions’ during the game against Morecambe on Sunday.

As reported by The Athletic, the French midfielder slowly left the pitch when substituted in the FA Cup tie and was booed by a section of the fans.

The 25-year-old reportedly wants to join a Champions League club.

The Athletic have added that Tottenham are open to selling Ndombele in January.

What should Tottenham do with Tanguy Ndombele?

In our opinion, Tottenham should sell Ndombele only for a hefty fee and not loan him out at all.

Spurs paid Lyon £55 million for the Frenchman in the summer of 2019.

We do not think that any club will pay that kind of money for Ndombele now, and that Tottenham will have to sell him for a loss.

But if no club is willing to pay £35 million and over for the France international this month, then, in our opinion, Tottenham should keep the £200,000-a-week midfielder until the end of the season.

COVID-19 issues are very prevalent among Premier League clubs, and Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte needs a big squad to finish in the Premier League top four.
