West Ham United want to sign Newcastle United target Abdou Diallo on loan in the January transfer window, according to RMC Sport.
RMC Sport have reported that West Ham appreciate the profile of Paris Saint-Germain central defender Diallo and are looking for a loan deal this month.
The Hammers – who are also interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Dan-Axel Zagadou – are studying the profile of the 25-year-old centre-back and could make an offer for him before the end of the January transfer window.
L’Equipe reported last week that West Ham and Newcastle are interested in Diallo.
West Ham blow for Newcastle regarding Abdou Diallo?
In our view, West Ham’s interest in Diallo is a blow for Newcastle.
While the Hammers are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four this season, the Magpies are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

Moreover, West Ham are also in the Europa League this season.
So, in our view, West Ham would be more appealing than Newcastle to the 25-year-old, who cost PSG €32 million (£26.69m) in the summer of 2019 when they signed him from Borussia Dortmund (Goal).
Moreover, a loan move instead of a permanent deal could also appeal to Diallo.
