Villarreal manager Unai Emery is interested in signing Arsenal central defender Pablo Mari in the January transfer window, according to TMW.

TMW have reported that Villarreal boss Emery is monitoring the situation of Mari if Pau Torres leaves the Spanish club.

Valencia are also interested in the 28-year-old central defender, who cost Arsenal £12 million in transfer fees (Sky Sports).

Sampdoria, AC Milan, Torino, Udinese and Fiorentina are interested in Mari as well, according to TMW.

What should Pablo Mari do about Arsenal exit?

Mari is struggling for playing time at Arsenal at the moment.

We do not think that things will get much better for the 28-year-old Spanish centre-back anytime soon.

After all, Ben White and Gabriel are the two main centre-backs for Arsenal at the moment.

That is unlikely to change anytime soon.

In our view, Mari should seriously consider a move away from Arsenal in January, at least on a loan deal.

The Arsenal no. 22 has made two appearances in the Premier League and has played once in the Carabao Cup for the Gunners so far this season.

Mari will surely want to play more, and for that, he needs to leave Arsenal.

Now.
