Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are aware of interest in Dusan Vlahovic from Liverpool among other clubs and are willing to spend big on him in the January transfer window, according to The Mirror.
Arsenal and Liverpool want Dusan Vlahovic
The Mirror have reported that Arsenal are willing to break the bank to sign Fiorentina striker Vlahovic now.
The Gunners are aware of interest in the Serbia international striker from Liverpool, AC Milan, Juventus and Newcastle United.
Smart decision
In our view, it is a very smart decision from Arsenal to try to sign Vlahovic now instead of wait until the summer of 2022 when Liverpool could be involved.
We do not think that Liverpool are going to spend big on a single player in the January transfer window.
The Athletic have reported that it is unlikely that there will be any incomings at Liverpool this month.

However, it is very likely that the former Premier League champions will be active in the summer of 2022.
And Vlahovic could well be the subject of a big bid from Liverpool.
So, in our opinion, Arsenal would be better off trying to do a deal with Fiorentina for the 21-year-old striker now.
It is reportedly going to take £70 million in transfer fees to sign Vlahovic, but it could be money well spent for Arsenal, who need a young and prolific striker now.
Vlahovic has scored 16 goals in Serie A for Fiorentina so far this season, and scored 21 goals in 34 league starts last season.
