Tottenham Hotspur could launch a huge move to sign Brighton and Hove Albion ace Tariq Lamptey was Antonio Conte chases a new wing back.
Tottenham only signed Emerson Royal over the summer, but the Brazilian has yet to find consistency under Conte.
Now, The Express report that Lamptey is emerging as Conte’s top target to become Tottenham’s new right wing back.
That’s backed up by The Sun, but both claim that Tottenham may have to wait until the summer to land Lamptey.
Brighton won’t be in any mood to sell midway through the season, even if Tottenham do throw an alleged £50million at them.
Duncan Castles claimed last month that Arsenal are looking at Lamptey. The idea would be to have a more attack-minded right back competing with the defensively solid Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Now though, Arsenal’s bitter rivals Tottenham could swoop in and sign Lamptey instead.

A diminutive figure at just 5ft 5in tall, Lamptey is quick and exciting going forward, offering better end product than Emerson.
Branded ‘amazing’ by Graham Potter, Lamptey is being backed for a huge future.
If Conte gets his way, that future will be with Tottenham.
