Rio Ferdinand has said on his Youtube channel that Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak would be a good signing for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
The former Manchester United defender believes that Isak, linked with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window, is a very talented and promising young striker.
The BT Sports pundit was impressed by Isak’s performances for Sweden at the Euro 2020 finals in the summer of 2021.
Spanish news outlet El Nacional have claimed that Arsenal are interested in signing Isak this month.
Eurosport reported in November that Arsenal are looking at Isak as a potential alternative to Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.
Ferdinand said about Alexander Isak and Arsenal on his Youtube channel: “He will be a good signing. Another young talented player. He has done really well in the Euros for Sweden, I thought. He is a talented player, man.”

Could Alexander Isak join Arsenal in January?
In our opinion, it is unlikely that Alexander Isak will leave Sociedad for Arsenal in the January transfer window.
Sociedad are an established club in La Liga who are aiming to finish in the top four this season.
Surely La Real will not hamper their chances of finishing in the Champions League places by selling one of their best players.
Moreover, Isak – who was with a move to Arsenal in the summer of 2021 – signed a new contract with Sociedad in July 2021 and is under contract at the Spanish club until 2026.
Alexander Isak has scored four goals and provided one assist in 14 La Liga starts so far this season.
The 22-year-old Sweden international striker scored 17 goals in 30 La Liga starts last season.
