Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are looking at Alexander Isak as a potential alternative to Dusan Vlahovic, according to Eurosport.
It has been reported that Arsenal are keen on signing Vlahovic from Fiorentina.
However, there is ‘a growing belief’ that the Serbia international striker is most likely to join Juventus.
So, Arsenal are looking at an alternative.
Eurosport have reported that the Real Sociedad striker is ‘emerging as the new top target’ of Arsenal.
The Gunners are ‘a particularly interesting option’ for 22-year-old Isak, who wants to move to England.
Could Alexander Isak to Arsenal happen?
Isak was linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer of 2021.
However, the Sweden international striker subsequently signed a new deal with Sociedad.
In our view, Sociedad are not going to sell Isak in the January transfer window.
After all, La Real are aiming to finish in the La Liga top four and perhaps even challenge for the title.
The Swede scored 17 goals in La Liga last season.
