Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has told Football.London that Hugo Lloris play well against Watford.
Conte’s Tottenham got the better of Watford 1-0 away from home at Vicarage Road in the Premier League on New Year’s Day.
Davinson Sanchez scored in the 96 minutes to win the match for Spurs.
Lloris was largely untroubled in the game, but the France international made a superb save in the second half when he denied Josh King.
It was a brilliant save, and Tottenham head coach Conte was impressed.
Antonio Conte on Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris
Conte told Football.London about Lloris: “The keeper has to follow the game and not only stay on the goal line to make saves.
“Hugo today showed that he’s top and he’s always focused. For us, he’s very important and I’m sure that in a short time they can find a solution with the club, because he loves Tottenham and Tottenham loves him.”

Future
Lloris is out of contract at Tottenham at the end of the season, and Nice reportedly want to sign the France international goalkeeper on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.
In our opinion, Spurs should keep the former Lyon star at the club for one more season at least.
Despite being 35 years of age, Lloris is still at the top of his game and remains an important player for Tottenham.
In our view, Tottenham should hand Lloris a new deal.
Yes, there is Pierluigi Gollini, but he is on loan and cannot get into the Tottenham team ahead of Lloris.
