Everton have received a significant boost ahead of their Premier League fixture against Brighton at the weekend, after it was confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is ready to return to action [Evertonfc.com].
Calvert-Lewin started the current campaign with a bang, scoring in Everton’s first three league matches.

However, he hasn’t featured since that third fixture against Brighton at the Amex Stadium at the end of August.
Everton boost for Brighton clash
The England international has taken four months to fully recover from a quadriceps injury, but is now finally fit again and will feature against the Seagulls on Sunday afternoon.
“I can say that he’s a massive signing for us for the second part of the league,” said Benitez about Calvert-Lewin [Evertonfc.com]. “He is training well and he is really happy because he is with the team. He’s ready to play and score goals.”
“If you remember, the top scorers of this team last year [Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison] have not always been playing this season.
“If we bring Dominic back and bring back a few weeks later Richarlison…I think the second part of the league can be something totally different.”

Calvert-Lewin return huge for Toffees
Everton have only scored six times in their last eight Premier League matches, with the absences of DCL and Richarlison major factors in their struggles in front of goal.
A return for the latter may still be a few weeks away, but having the former back will certainly give the whole group a lift ahead of winnable fixtures against Brighton, Hull (FA Cup), Leicester, Norwich and Aston Villa.
Benitez didn’t say whether or not the 24-year-old would start against the Seagulls at Goodison Park on Sunday, and it must be said that a substitute outing is more likely.
However, few would bet against him marking his long-awaited comeback with a goal and then dragging the Toffees back up the table over the coming weeks and months.
