Leeds United fans are pleased to hear Marcelo Bielsa announce that Robin Koch is available for their game against Arsenal at the weekend.
Some good news
The Leeds boss told Leeds Live yesterday that Koch had now fully recovered from injury and was in contention to face off against Arsenal at the weekend.
That looks like majorly positive news for Leeds, who are simply desperate for the numbers at the moment.
Leeds are without numerous senior players, with Leeds Live reporting that they may be down to just 11 players at the weekend.
Their growing injury list is an obvious concern, especially after their depleted squad lost 7-0 to Manchester City on their last outing.
But the news that Koch was available again did at least give Leeds fans some reason to cheer going into the game.
Big boost
Koch has not featured for Leeds since the very first game of the season.
There may be no option but to throw him straight back in at the deep end though.
Bielsa typically likes to ease returning players back into action, but with so many sidelined, he will surely be desperate to select the 25-year-old as soon as he possibly can.
Even with Koch returning, Leeds go into this weekend’s game as underdogs though.
The Whites were totally outclassed on their last outing against Manchester City, but there may be some more reason for encouragement here.
Arsenal’s away record isn’t impressive at all this season, which offers Leeds some hope that they could bounce back.
The Whites are under pressure to get back to winning ways sooner rather than later, regardless of their injury circumstances.
Leeds currently hover just above the relegation zone, with just five points separating them from 18th placed Burnley, who also have two games in hand.
