Some Everton fans on social media have been reacting to Anthony Gordon’s performance against Chelsea on Thursday evening.

How did Gordon do?

Everton came into this game as underdogs.

They fielded a number of young players as their squad was ravaged by injury, and they were coming up against a Chelsea side that have been flying in the league this season.

However, the Toffees dug deep and managed to get a point, and they owe a lot of this result to Gordon.

The youngster was absolutely outstanding for the Merseyside club. He assisted Jarrad Branthwaite’s goal and he ran his socks off.

You could tell just how much playing for Everton means to Gordon. He covered almost every blade of grass, and he didn’t shy away from any responsibilities, despite being so young.

New hero

If Gordon continues to play like this, Goodison Park could have a new hero.

The youngster looks like the real deal, and the fact that he has so much passion for Everton Football Club bodes well for his future in blue.

It’s one thing to have talent, and it’s another thing to be able to show up in the big moments, and it seems as though Gordon has what it takes to be a star.
