Spider-Man actor Tom Holland has revealed that he asked Kylian Mbappe to sign for Tottenham at this month’s Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris.
Speaking on Lad Bible’s official YouTube channel, the 25-year-old actor, who supports Spurs, said that he asked the PSG star if he could join the north London club, to which Holland said Mbappe just laughed at the idea.
The 22-year-old attacker is expected to leave Paris this year. Mbappe’s contract with the Ligue 1 giants expires next summer, with Real Madrid having two bids rejected for the French international in the previous transfer window as per the Guardian.
Indeed, it looks like Mbappe’s future will be in the Spanish capital barring some late heroics from an under-reported club.
Yet one side that the French forward won’t be joining is Tottenham, with Holland being the one to discover this revelation in amusing fashion.
Tom Holland reveals Mbappe Tottenham question
Indeed, the British actor is currently on the press junket ahead of the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the third and potentially final Marvel film in Holland’s run as the famous superhero.
Moreover, the London-born actor revealed that he asked Mbappe to join Tottenham at the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

Holland said: “We went to Ballon d’Or the other day and met Messi, it was crazy. We met Mbappe, I actually asked Mbappe ‘hey nice to meet you’, and he was really friendly. And I said ‘mate, you have to come to Tottenham’, and he just burst out laughing.”
The interaction was seemingly a light-hearted one. And to many Premier League fans, they will be breathing a sigh of relief that Holland has not recruited Mbappe to the English top-flight.
