Rangers face Lyon tomorrow night in their final Europa League group stage fixture knowing their place in the next round is already secured.

Regardless of what happens in France, Rangers are guaranteed second place in the group and a spot in the playoff round draw.

A 2-0 win over Sparta Prague in Gio van Bronckhorst’s first game in charge was enough to get the Light Blues over the line and secure qualification from the groups for the third year in succession.

When is the Europa League playoff draw?

The draw takes place from the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland on December 13 at 12pm.

How will the draw work?

Teams who finished second in the Europa League group stage (like Rangers) will be drawn against one of the teams who finished third in their respective Champions League groups.

The Europa League teams will be seeded in the draw and will play the second leg at home – which means Rangers will be away from home in the first leg.
