Some Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Manchester United want to sign John McGinn.

Manchester United interest in John McGinn

The Sun have reported that new Manchester United interim-manager Ralf Rangnick wants to bring McGinn to Old Trafford.

The Scotland international midfielder has reportedly impressed Rangnick and the United scouts.

Aston Villa fans’ reaction

As you can see from the tweets below, Villa fans do not want to see McGinn leave for United.

Well, some of them anyway.

While some Villa supporters are against the idea of losing the 27-year-old to United, there are others who want a lot in transfer fees.

More than the £100 million that Manchester City paid for Jack Grealish in the summer of 2021.

In our opinion, McGinn is not worth £100 million.

No club is going to pay that for the former Hibernian star.

However, we think that Villa will not – and should not – simply accept whatever United offer for McGinn.

The Villans are an established club in the Premier League.

There is no financial pressure on Villa to sell McGinn or any of their best players.

Moreover, Villa recently appointed Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard as their new manager.

Gerrard will surely not want to strengthen Manchester United by selling them one of his best midfielders.
