Alexandre Lacazette has said his agent is looking for a new club for the Arsenal star ahead of the January transfer window.
Speaking to Telefoot via GFFN, the 30-year-old Frenchman claimed a resolution to his future would be made in the new year, with Lacazette saying his agents are working on a transfer behind the scenes.
The Arsenal attacker’s contract ends in the summer, with all signs suggesting Lacazette will leave the north London side as a free agent at the end of this season.
The French forward will become the latest in a long line of Arsenal players to leave the club for nothing. Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan all departed the Emirates for free.
And it appears the French striker will be next. Lacazette told Telefoot: “Obviously my agents are now looking left and right a bit – but not before January, I really want to turn towards something.”
While Mikel Arteta has started Lacazette quite regularly this season, a contract renewal at Arsenal seems unlikely given the striker’s age and current wages. Moreover, the attacker is one of the highest-paid players at the club.
Arsenal fans react as Lacazette plans January decision

Lacazette has been a fans’ favourite in north London since arriving in 2017. However, most supporters agree a departure in 2022 is best for all parties given Arteta’s plans for the club.
After all, this summer saw Arsenal make six signings, with all of the players aged 23 or younger. And it’s highly likely Arteta will do something similar when looking for a new striker next year.
