Newcastle United have made contact over signing Aguibou Camara from Olympiacos, The Sun report.
Camara to Newcastle?
Newcastle are now planning to add to Eddie Howe’s squad in January, and are expected to battle to sign Camara at this stage.
The Sun claim that three Premier League sides are chasing Camara, with Newcastle making first contact with his representatives to let them know of his interest.
Olympiacos want £20 million for their most exciting current talent, but that fee is unlikely to put Newcastle off.
At the age of 20, Camara has plenty of room to improve – but he has proven this season that he is already more than capable of excelling in senior football.
Camara has been labelled as a ‘special footballer’ in Greece (SportTime), as he continues to catch the eye.

He is a strong dribbler, and thrives in the final third of the pitch.
With Newcastle needing more creativity, Camara could well be the man to provide them with it over the second-half of the season.
A big risk?
The move would still be a gamble for the Magpies though.
Camara has no experience of English football and would walk into a pressurised environment at St. James’ Park.
It is imperative that whoever Newcastle sign in January hits the ground running, as they are locked in a relegation battle.
Camara, therefore, wouldn’t have the luxury of time on his side.
But if he could carry his current form over on Tyneside then he would be a huge hit.
Camara has hit four goals and claimed two assists in nine games in the Greek Super League so far this term, making him one of the most impressive attacking players in the division.
