Juventus have put plans into motion to sign Fiorentina star and reported Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic as soon as January.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian giants are preparing to offer €50m (£42m) for La Viola to sign the Serbian ‘immediately’ in the January transfer window. However, Fiorentina want at least €70m (£58m) for the striker.

Moreover, per the report, the Tuscan-based club want a club-record fee for the attacker. With Vlahovic the second-highest goalscorer in Europe in 2022, it is understandable why Fiorentina are shrugging off Juventus’ £42m offer for the forward.

As well as the Old Lady, Arsenal are keen on the 21-year-old attacker. With Tottenham also long been rumoured with the Serbian international. Yet as things stand, Juventus lead the race for Vlahovic.

Indeed, the Serie A giants are keen to add more firepower to their frontline following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer. With Juventus sitting eighth in the league standings.

And given Vlahovic’s insane goalscoring record this year, it makes sense why Juventus are keen to sign the Fiorentina star in the January window. And this new update will be a huge blow for Arsenal heading into winter.

With just over a month until the opening of the transfer window, January is shaping up to be an important timeframe for some of the biggest clubs in Europe. And for Juventus, Vlahovic appears to be the club’s main priority.

The Turin giants desperately need a striker, and whilst Arsenal are also in the market for a player in this position, Vlahovic appears to be edging ever close to a move to Juventus rather than the Premier League.
