Dirk Kuyt has praised Liverpool forward Diogo Jota for his goal against Arsenal at the weekend, as quoted on the club’s official website.
The former Liverpool star has praised Jota for the way he took his goal against Arsenal in the Premier League game at Anfield.
A bad pass from Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares founds it ways to Jota, who kept his calm with the ball at his feet.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers star did not rush to shoot, as you can see below.
Liverpool won the match 4-0.
Praise
Kuyt told Liverpool’s official website about Jota: “I thought Diogo Jota’s press moment for the second goal against Arsenal was amazing. But then you recover the ball and need to slow down.
“When you press, you need to do it at 110 per cent but when you have the ball and need to beat a defender and then the ‘keeper, you have to be a little bit more calm and slow down a bit.
“It’s such a tough skill but amazing to see, not only from Jota but Salah and Mane as well.”

Diogo Jota is a Liverpool gem
Jota cost Liverpool £41 million in the summer of 2020 (BBC Sport).
The 24-year-old forward had a long-term injury problem last season.
Even when fit and available, Cristiano Ronaldo’s international teammate does not always start for Liverpool.
Roberto Firmino is ahead of Jota in the pecking order.
Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane always start in attack for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

However, whenever Jota plays, he gives his best and does well.
In our view, the Portuguese is a Liverpool gem.
