Rio Ferdinand has said on his YouTube channel that Liverpool forward Diogo Jota always delivers, but Roberto Firmino will get the nod ahead of him.
The former Manchester United defender is a big fan of Liverpool star Jota.
However, Ferdinand believes that if Liverpool were playing in a final next week, then manager Jurgen Klopp would prefer Firmino to the 24-year-old Portugal international.
The Englishman made the comments following Jota’s goal and performance in Liverpool’s 4-0 hammering of Arsenal at Anfield at the weekend.
Rio Ferdinand said about Firmino and Jota on his YouTube channel: “Recently Firmino has been their man.
“If Klopp had a final next week, Firmino plays. But he has got someone who comes in and always delivers. Beautiful to see for the manager.”

Key player for Liverpool
Jota took his goal against Arsenal extremely well.
Even former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere was impressed.
The 24-year-old is not a regular in the Liverpool starting lineup.
Firmino tends to play when he is fit and available.
However, we cannot underestimate the importance of Jota.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers star has scored five goals in nine Premier League starts so far this season.
Jota scored nine goals in 12 Premier League starts and four goals in six Champions League starts for Liverpool during the 2020-21 campaign.
In our view, Jota will play a big role for Liverpool in their quest to win the Premier League title race and the Champions League this season.
