Tottenham Hotspur fans actually aren’t happy with Harry Kane’s apparent desire to play for England against San Marino tonight.
Kane to start later?
The Daily Mail say that the Tottenham man has ‘pleaded’ with Gareth Southgate to let him play later this evening.
Kane wants to become England’s top scorer at the earliest opportunity and is sensing the possibility of goals against San Marino later.
However, Tottenham fans feel that their star man isn’t making the right decision by playing.
Some feel that he is just trying to make his own stats look better, while others fear that he could get injured playing in a match where he isn’t really required for England to get a victory.
Harsh reaction?
We feel that some of the reaction to Kane’s actions is fairly harsh.
Granted, Kane’s desire to play may not be ideal for Tottenham – as he risks injury.

But it does show his mentality to want to hit the back of the net.
Kane has undoubtedly seen his actions criticised more by Spurs fans this season than ever before.
His eagerness to leave the club over the summer has damaged his relationship with their supporters.
Kane also hasn’t been in top form this season, and still only has one Premier League goal to his name.
A strong international break may, therefore, help his confidence levels at Tottenham.
But it seems that the striker has some work to do to win round Spurs fans, who aren’t best pleased with his latest actions again.
