Former Ibrox hero Brian Laudrup believes that new Rangers star Fashion Sakala is the perfect partner for Alfredo Morelos in the attack.
Speaking to the Daily Mail via the Daily Record, the ex-Danish international claimed that Sakala’s style of attack could be the perfect foil for Morelos, who Rangers reportedly value at £14m according to A Bola.
Sakala scored his first Rangers hat-trick over the weekend as Steven Gerrard’s side dismantled Motherwell 6-1 in the Scottish Premiership. With the Zambian forward having a slow start to life in Scotland, it was a much-needed performance.
And for Laudrup, the 24-year-old attacker could be the perfect match for Morelos heading into the next phase of the season. With the Rangers icon predicting how Sakala can push the Colombian international forward.
Laudrup said: “He scores different types of goals and that sets him apart. Alfredo Morelos is coming back to some sort of form but it’s going to be very hard to keep Sakala out of the team going forward.
The former Rangers star added: “It’s the perfect time for Sakala to announce himself as a Rangers player and also to push Morelos and get the team going. It was a fantastic performance by Sakala.”
Sakala hat-trick could be the beginning of something great for Rangers

Sakala arrived in Glasgow to huge fanfare and hype. And after a slow start, the 24-year-old striker is finally starting to find his feet with Rangers. And his hat-trick against Motherwell could be the start of something special for Gerrard’s side.
The forward has shown in Belgium to be a lethal finisher when surrounded by the right players. And alongside Morelos, Sakala could become one of Rangers’ most important names heading into the next few months of the season.
