Liverpool striker Divock Origi stunned everybody with a scorpion kick goal on Wednesday night… well, maybe everybody except Pep Lijnders.
The Reds travelled to take on Preston North End in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup.
Takumi Minamino put Liverpool 1-0 up before Origi produced a ridiculous goal to seal a 2-0 win.
A Kostas Tsimikas hit the crossbar, and after Neco Williams’ shot was blocked, Origi pulled off a scorpion kick to send the ball past Declan Rudd.
This game summed Origi up; quiet for most of the game, but then conjured a memorable moment to get himself on the scoresheet.
Liverpool fans think Lijnders was right on Origi after all
Earlier this week, Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders suggested that Origi was a world-class finisher.
That left Liverpool fans absolutely baffled, questioning just what on earth he was talking about.

Less than 24 hours later, Origi pulled off an incredible finish to leave Liverpool fans gobsmacked.
Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to suggest that Lijnders ‘wasn’t joking’ when he praised Origi.
Others mocked the people who laughed at Lijnders, even if the mocking came from some Liverpool fans.
Some believe that you should now listen to Lijnders whenever he speaks having been quickly proven right about Origi.
