Connor Goldson has delivered an update on his contract with Rangers as well as his future. And supporters are not happy with what has been said.

Speaking to the press via the Daily Record, the 28-year-old centre-back revealed that there has been no movement over a new deal with Rangers. Goldson’s current deal with the club expires next summer.

The defender joined the Gers in 2018 for a reported fee of £3m. And since then, Goldson has asserted himself as a key player for Steven Gerrard and one of the best defenders in Scotland.

However, with January around the corner and Goldson’s contract expiring in 2022, the defender is free to talk to clubs about signing a pre-contract agreement for next season.

Indeed, losing Goldson would be a huge blow for Rangers. The former Brighton and Hove Albion star played every Scottish Premiership game last season and was a pillar in Gerrard’s defence.

Yet with no movement taking place over a new deal, there’s a strong chance that Goldson could leave the club for free in 2022.
