Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has raved about Raphinha in Leeds Live.

Bielsa has said that Leeds winger Raphinha always stand out, and has spoken highly of his work ethic.

The Leeds boss has said that it is not common for a player like the 24-year-old Brazilian winger to work as hard as he does.

Bielsa has added that everyone at Leeds values the former Rennes star highly.

The Argentine said about Raphinha: “It’s not common for a flair player to work like that. A player that stands out.

“Due to standing out he does not demand privileges. All the opposite takes more obligations.

“That’s why he’s valued so much by all of us due to his humility and his capacity of effort. Not common when accompanied with that talent.”

Potential to be world class

Raphinha cannot be considered a world-class player just yet, but the Leeds winger is certainly on his way to becoming one.

The Brazilian hit the ground running at Leeds after joining from Rennes in the summer of 2020 and has maintained his high standards.

The Leeds no. 10 has scored three goals in seven Premier League appearances so far this season.

Raphinha made 26 starts and four substitute appearances in the league last season.

The winger scored six goals and gave nine assists in those matches.

Raphinha has been linked with a move away from Leeds.

The Independent reported in September that Liverpool have been monitoring Raphinha since 2016.
