Tottenham Hotspur remain in the hunt for winger Mikkel Damsgaard despite his less-than-great form for Sampdoria this season.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who claim that Tottenham would still like to sign Damsgaard.
Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus are all keen too, as you would expect from the main three clubs in Italy.
However, Tuttosport claim that Damsgaard’s form has taken a hit this season.
It seems that EURO 2020 has taken its toll on Damsgaard, and he hasn’t quite got back to his best since returning from his Denmark duties.
Do Tottenham need Damsgaard?
This is a tough one.
Damsgaard is a huge talent, even compared to Kevin De Bruyne by FC Nordsjaelland sporting director Jan Laursen.
The 21-year-old impressed at Euro 2020, even smashing a stunning free kick against England in the semi-finals.

Damsgaard is mostly a left-sided winger though, and Tottenham already have Son Heung-min and Steven Bergwijn there.
Maybe Tottenham think Damsgaard is too good to pass up.
Yet if one of Damsgaard or Son end up having to play out of position, some would wonder whether the money could have been spent better elsewhere.
Something for Fabio Paratici to think about as he chases Damsgaard for Tottenham.
