Liverpool are already planning to make a move for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic next summer if he doesn’t sign a new contract.
That’s according to Inter Live, who claim that Jurgen Klopp wants Brozovic at Anfield and would be ‘ready to get serious’ if Brozovic doesn’t pen a renewal.
Liverpool know that Brozovic is inside the final year of his Inter contract, and are seemingly waiting, ready to pounce for him on a free transfer.
The report claims that Liverpool would be willing to give Brozovic a deal worth €7million-a-year, which is around £115,000-a-week.
That’s more than Inter are offering right now, and it will now be interesting to see if Brozovic holds out and leaves Inter for absolutely nothing next summer.
Reds fans are probably sick of hearing how next summer will be busier than this one, but Brozovic would be a good start on a free transfer.
The Croatian is absolutely relentless in terms of his running and work rate, making him potentially ideal for Jurgen Klopp – especially with his ability on the ball too.

Brozovic turns 29 in November, meaning he wouldn’t exactly have resale value, but Michael Edwards may be gone and it sounds like Brozovic is a Klopp target rather than an Edwards one anyway.
With James Milner moving gradually towards the end of his career and Gini Wijnaldum gone, adding work rate in Liverpool’s midfield will be a priority.
Brozovic can provide that, and has been branded as a ‘great personality’ with ‘so much quality’ by Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, who played with Brozovic at Inter.
It may not be the deadline day news Liverpool fans are hoping for, but Brozovic is a name to keep a close eye on heading towards 2022.
