Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Leeds United are now in advanced talks to sign Daniel James from Manchester United before the summer transfer window closes tomorrow.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported that Leeds want to sign James from Premier League rivals United on a permanent contract.
The West Yorkshire club are also in talks with the 23-year-old Wales international over personal terms, according to Romano.
Exciting transfer update
Earlier today, here on HITC Sport, we covered a report from The Manchester Evening News claiming that Leeds are the frontrunners for James.
The Whites wanted to sign the winger before he joined the Red Devils from Swansea for £15 million, as reported by Sky Sports.

And now, it seems that Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa could finally get the player he has wanted for so long.
James is a very good and promising young winger who has played 24 times for Wales and also played at Euro 2020.
The winger has scored six goals in 50 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
It will be interesting to see how much United demand as transfer fee for James given that they paid £15 million for him.
