It is said that Sheffield United believe Jebbison is better than Dominic Calvert-Lewin was at this stage of his career.

After all, the Blades would know, having lost Calvert-Lewin to Everton for just £1.5m in 2016.

Everton’s £5m bid has been rejected, although The Athletic claim that the Toffees aren’t planning to give up just yet.

Interestingly, Everton aren’t the only ones interested in the teenager.

According to 90min, Arsenal and Tottenham are also keen to sign the Sheffield United gem, who Everton once handed a trial to.

Jebbison scored one goal in four Premier League appearances last season, as he was handed chances towards the end of the campaign.

Everton used to be famed for their work with young players, such as Wayne Rooney, Jack Rodwell and Ross Barkley.

They have strayed away from that in recent times.

However, if Rafa Benitez can sign Jebbison, the Toffees will hopefully return to putting more emphasis on the next generation.
