Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the chance to sign reported Arsenal target Corentin Tolisso, according to Sky Sports.

What’s the story?

Sky Sports have reported that Bayern Munich are interested in signing Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

The German giants are willing to offer France international midfielder Corentin Tolisso to Spurs in a deal to sign Ndombele.

However, Tottenham are not interested in this part-exchange deal and have refused to even hold initial talks.

Impact on Arsenal

Bayern reportedly willing to send Tolisso to Tottenham is a potential blow for Arsenal.

That’s because the Gunners reportedly want to sign the 27-year-old Frenchman.

Earlier this month, German publication BILD claimed interest from Arsenal in Tolisso.

The midfielder himself has said before that Arsenal are a club he would love to join.

“Many clubs make me dream like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and England with teams like Arsenal,” Tolisso told France Football in October 2016, as translated by HITC Sport.

“I love the Premier League and I think I have the profile. This is the championship that also offers more competition, which is the most open, the most hard-fought and most spectacular.”

Highly rated

Tolisso has not made a massive impact at Bayern due to injury problems and competition for places, but he is a player who is rated very highly, especially by Carlo Ancelotti, now at Real Madrid.

Bayern signed the midfielder in 2017 when Ancelotti was in charge of the European powerhouse. quoted then Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as saying in June 2017: “We are very happy that we were able to sign this young and interesting player, despite strong competition from abroad. Corentin Tolisso was the dream player for our head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, in midfield.”
