Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion want to sign Eddie Nketiah from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

What’s the story?

The Sun are reporting tonight (9:30pm) that Brighton are hoping to secure the services of Arsenal striker Nketiah for £20 million.

Brighton manager Graham Potter has the former Leeds United loanee at the top of his wishlist.

Palace manager Patrick Vieira, an Arsenal legend, wants the youngster as well and is a fan of the 22-year-old.

However, the Eagles are ‘reluctant to go into an auction’ and £20 million might be too much for the London club.

Leaving Arsenal for Brighton?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are the two main strikers at Arsenal at the moment

Folarin Balogun is also going to be promoted to the first team this season.

This means that Nketiah could drop further down the pecking order.

The 22-year-old was able to make only four starts in the Premier League and made six starts in the Europa League for the Gunners last season.

Brighton are an established club in the Premier League, and Nketiah would get more playing time at the Seagulls.

The English youngster should seriously consider a move to Brighton.
