Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has reiterated his desire to see Glen Kamara stay at Ibrox amid reports he’s close to signing a new contract with the Gers.

The Finnish international is one of Gerrard’s most trusted players and has been a revelation at Ibrox since joining Rangers from Dundee in 2019.
Gerrard has been blown away by Kamara’s progress since joining the Gers and confessed that he loves the midfielder after becoming a “real established international” during his time in Glasgow.
The Ibrox boss confirmed there is a “real strong offer” on the table for Kamara as Gerrard admitted the “ball is firmly in his court” now.
“Glen’s progress has been brilliant,” Gerrard told Rangers TV. “And he has become a real established international player. I love the kid and the player and I’ve made it abundantly clear how much want him to stay.
There’s a real strong offer on the table for Glen so the speed at which this happens is totally on Glen. The ball is firmly in his court. The offer is really good from the club. His advisors are happy with the offer so it is totally down to Glen.”
Kamara will likely come into the side for the weekend clash with Dundee United after missing out against Malmo through suspension.
Getting him tied down to a new deal would be a fantastic bit of news for the Gers as they get their title defence going.

Rangers fans will no doubt be excited at the prospect of Kamara extending his stay too with the Finn becoming a massive favourite of the Ibrox support.
