Within the last few hours, some outlets have said that Joe Willock is currently on his way to Newcastle.
TalkSPORT were cited as the source. However, their very own Jason Bourne took to Twitter to squash the rumours.
Despite that, the ‘news’ still spread all over social media, where Willock himself did something which added a twist to the saga.
What did Joe Willock do?
Well, an account called arsenal.newspage posted the rumour on Instagram.
Interestingly, as you can see below, Willock has liked the post, which adds an intriguing twist to the saga.
Of course, the £20,000-a-week man might just have enjoyed the edited photo of himself, rather than the ‘news’ itself.
Joe Willock – the sooner the better
The sooner this transfer saga ends, the better – for both Arsenal and Newcastle.
The Magpies have to get this done soon, or they’ll be wasting their time to find an alternative if the deal falls through.
Steve Bruce’s side are said to have agreed a deal with the Gunners, and it’s now up to Willock to make a decision.
In Arsenal’s case, Mikel Arteta would surely like an end to this saga as soon as possible, so he can begin to spend the £25m received from the sale.
