According to The Athletic, Arsenal have tried to include Alexandre Lacazette in a potential deal for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
It has been reported that Arsenal want to sign Martinez from Inter and have actually enquired about him.
During talks, the Gunners tried to include France international striker Lacazette in the deal.
However, Inter, who won Serie A last season, ‘only want cash’.

Arsenal’s reported willingness to include Lacazette in a deal to bring in Martinez makes sense.
The Frenchman is 30 now and is out of contract at the end of next season.
Martinez is 23 and has been very good for Inter over the past two seasons.
The striker scored 17 goals and gave six assists in Serie A last season, and scored 14 goals and gave three assists in the league in 2019-20.

Journalist Ian McGarry said on the Transfer Window Podcast that “Lacazette has been marketed very aggressively around Europe”.
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger described Lacazette as “a very efficient finisher” on the club’s official website in July 2017.
As reported by BBC Sport, the striker scored 129 goals in 275 matches in all competitions for Lyon.
The 30-year-old has scored 50 goals in 128 Premier League matches for the Gunners.
