Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that reported Tottenham Hotspur target Jules Kounde is buzzing at the prospect of joining Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported that Chelsea and Sevilla are still in talks over Kounde, with Kurt Zouma potentially going to the La Liga club as part of the deal.
Romano has added that the 22-year-old France international central defender is excited at the prospect of moving to the 2021 Champions League winners.
Further blow for Tottenham Hotspur
Romano’s update will be a further blow to Tottenham in their quest to sign Kounde.
Marca reported this month that despite Tottenham and Sevilla agreeing on a deal, Kounde has rejected the chance to move to Spurs.
The 22-year-old wants to play in the Champions League.

Tottenham’s new director of football, Fabio Paratici, is reportedly struggling to convince the youngster to move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.
Chelsea won the Champions League last season and will be determined to win the Premier League title in 2021-22.
Spurs will not even play in the Europa League next season and are unlikely to challenge for the Premier League title.
Chelsea are also likely to be able to offer more salary to the French youngster than Spurs.
