Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is reportedly willing to waive off long-standing problems with the club to complete his move to AS Roma.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the 28-year-old midfielder is ‘ready to give up’ issues with the Gunners if it means pushing through a move to the Serie A side.
Xhaka has been linked with Roma for the majority of the summer transfer window. As per the report, personal terms and a contract have all been agreed upon between Xhaka and Roma.
However, the club and Arsenal are yet to agree to a transfer fee. The Gunners are holding out for €20m (£17m), whilst Roma will pay no more than €15m (£12m).
Roma-bound Xhaka joined Arsenal in 2016 for a reported fee of £35m according to BBC Sport. Yet after five years with the club, Mikel Arteta and the player have seemingly decided that now is the best time to part ways.
The Gunners have already made a midfield signing this summer in the form of Albert Sambi Lokonga. Whereas reports indicate that Arsenal are keen to add another player in the same position this window.
As well as Xhaka, Lucas Torreira is likely to depart north London this summer.

Moreover, Matteo Guendouzi has already left the Premier League side for a loan move to Marseille, a transfer that will become permanent next year.
Arsenal have got to get Xhaka to Roma transfer done
Indeed, it will be a summer of dramatic change for Arsenal this summer if the club can shift off the players they are hoping to sell.
As well as Xhaka, the likes of Hector Bellerin, Sead Kolasinac and Willian are all available for transfer.
Arteta will be keen to return the club back to the top of English football.
And gutting the squad of players, starting with selling Xhaka to Roma, who are on bloated wages and performed below par last season is a sensible step in the right direction for both Arsenal and the young manager.
