Adama Traore is now being linked with a move from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Liverpool once again.
According to The Daily Star, Liverpool, who are long-time admirers of the Spain international, are interested in signing the Wolves attacker in a cut-price £30 million deal.
The Reds might need additional wide support this summer amid doubts about Xherdan Shaqiri and Taki Minamino’s future on Merseyside.
But are they shelling out £30 million to sign the Wanderers player?
Here’s how some Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter:
Awful business
HITC Sport wrote earlier today that this could be Michael Edwards’s worst piece of business during his time at Anfield.
And quite frankly, it would be up there.
Seven Premier League goals in 103 games for the Molineux club illustrates that for all of his power and speed, there’s very little by way of a goal threat and Liverpool need goals, not someone who could score bags of them.
It’s important to be proven in the Premier League because, well, Minamino hasn’t exactly blown anybody away since joining the club from Red Bull Salzburg 18 months ago.
But proving yourself as a pretty bog-average winger in terms of goals isn’t much of a badge either and Liverpool should avoid – particularly for £30 million.
